Ingredients:-
For the sponge:-
- Egg, 500 grams
- Flour, 210 grams
- Cocoa powder, 50 grams
- Sugar, 250 grams
For Cake 🎂 :-
- Chocolate sponge, 1.2 kg
- Whipped cream, 400 grams
- Dark Chocolate flakes, 40 grams
- Black cherry compote, 20 grams
- Grain sugar, 100 grams
- Water, 100 ml
Method Of Cooking:-
The method of Sponge:-
- Beat the egg and the sugar together till fluffy.
- Sift flour, cocoa powder, and fold into the egg mixture.
- Pour the mixture into a greased moulds and bake at 200°C.
The method of Cake 🎂 :-
- Boil water and sugar to make sugar syrup. Cool and set aside.
- Slice the Sponge horizontally in 3-4 layers
- Layers each Sponge with sugar syrup, whipped cream and cherry compote.
- Finish the top of the Cake and the sides with the whipped cream.
- Pipe the whipped cream over the cake and garnish with chocolate flakes and cherries.
Remarks:-
- Make sure the eggshells don't drop in the mixing bowl.
- Preheat the oven.
- Grease the mould with oil or butter. And also spread some flour on the mould.
- Refrigerate the cake for 2 - 3 hours.
