Ingredients:-
- Refined Flour, 500 grams
- Sugar, 20 grams
- Yeast, 30 grams
- Salt, 15 grams
- Butter, 80 grams
- Milk, 250 ml
- White Wine Vinegar, 30 ml
- Water, 60 ml
Method Of Cooking:-
Preparation:-
- Scale the ingredients. Sieve the flour.
Cooking:-
- Make a soft dough with all ingredients and allow to proof. Roll out the dough into 2 cm thickness and cut with small round cutters.
- Once the dough is proofed cook it on both sides on a griddle.
Remarks:-
- First, you have to activate the yeast take a bowl and add the yeast and castor sugar. Boil the milk and add in the bowl and stir it to rest it for when the yeast is activated.
- Parchment paper on the baking tray and dust some flour on it and roll your dough on the baking tray.
- Cover it with a muslin cloth and proof it for 1 hour.
- Cut the dough with the help of cookie cutter and grease the edges with oil and then cut it.
- Remove the extra flour from the English Muffins.
- Put the Muffins in an airtight container fr around 10 to 15 minutes.
- The reason behind covering this is with the heat they are steam generated inside the box and with that steam, you will find very crumbly texture in the centre.
